Project Title:
Steps to a Squeaky Clean Kitchen
Tools Used:
Canva
Time to Develop:
One Day
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Several households have a similar question: How do I keep my kitchen tidy between visits from my cleaning service? This would minimize time and intensity of cleanings for companies when making both regular and irregular cleaning visits to client homes.
challenges
Different households preferred their own cleaning supplies and tools. Without naming the types of cleaning products to use, it was important to share an efficient way to maintain the cleanliness of their homes, especially in a high traffic area such as a kitchen. Time and efficiency of the cleaning was most needed by these clients of cleaning services.
SOLUTION
Based on the needs and challenges, I decided the best way to share this information with clients was an infographic. This minimized conflicting information, and gave clients a printable list to refer to in times when cleaning was necessary and there was no time to gain cleaning services.

Basics for Tasks in Microsoft Outlook
Tools Used:
Canva
Time to Develop:
One Day
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
After an analysis for the needs of learners, I found the need for a quick reminder for how to use Microsoft Tasks in both a printable and digital form. Although the online course is helpful, users should have a step by step guide to help them with the different uses for Tasks.
challenges
There are several variations when completing a single step in Tasks. Additionally, the steps needed to be clear, aligned and accessible in the most convenient format for users.
SOLUTION
In the end, I decided to choose an infographic to best relay this information. This document was created in Canva. The list format is easy to follow and coordinates with the Tasks feature theme. The infographic was accessible with paper and digitally, from the online course on the same topic.
Project Title:
Annual Snack Fest
Tools Used:
Canva
Time to Develop:
One Day
Client:
Lockhart Elementary
Collaborators:
PTO Board Members
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Lockhart Elementary PTO was excited to start raising funds for the school since the abrupt changes from the global COVID-19 pandemic. The PTO was planning for their annual Snack Fest, but wanted information to be accessed in a streamline and updated way. Furthermore, the organization needed to entice the audience (students, parents, faculty and staff) to participate in the event.
challenges
The PTO struggled with low participation for fundraisers, cash only payments, and last minute orders that were difficult to fulfill. They used a paper system that was time consuming and prevented the delivery of the information to parents for various reasons. Additionally, the PTO had to find a way to minimize hand to hand contact due to the prevalent health issues as a result from the pandemic.
SOLUTION
I decided to create an infographic to be used digitally and in paper form (pdf). The flyer needed to be a landing page for all of the fundraiser information. The school colors (orange and blue) and logo were incorporated, and I chose colorful graphics to target the audience. Additionally, I included a QR code that led readers to a Google Form for accurate tracking of orders and digital payments.
